"When you are in a tough position, take a deep breath and realize that this will only make you stronger, make you smarter, make you faster and finally to the point where it will have no effect upon you. Live strong and that's what you will be."

"You can never know everything, and part of what you know is always wrong, perhaps even the most important part. A portion of wisdom lies in knowing this; a portion of courage lies in going on anyways."
Robert Jordan --- Submitted by Sara M., Age 16 --- Virginia
I like this quote because it has three parts to it. One: It shows that everyone is lacking knowledge, so don't think that you know and understand everything. Two: Some of the views about the world have been hammered into you and are wrong. What society believes is not always what is truly 'right,' such as when there was racism and segregation, many 'believed' this was 'right' because society said so. Stick to your own beliefs and have your own confidence in them. Three: No matter what, life will go on, whether you are ready or not. You just have to have the courage to join, even though you are uncertain. No one is always certain of themselves and what they do or believe in.
"It isn't necessary to blow out the other person's light in order to let your own light shine."
A wise friend --- Submitted by Kortney M., Age 16 --- Idaho
I know some people that actually did this to someone and that someone said this quote. Ever since then, I look up to that person and they helped me to be a better person.
"People only see what they want at that moment, but most of the time we overlook the things that could very well be better."

I though of this quote for an English assignment. It's really inspiring to me and I'm sure it will inspire others.
"Who wants to be ordinary when you can be extraordinary? Don't be afraid to be different, to explore things to the core. Because in this world, no one's the same - we all have a different name. So don't be ordinary and never be afraid to be extraordinary!"

"At some point in life you realize that it's not about finding the cute guy or the athletic guy or the most popular. Just find a guy who doesn't care if you laugh loudly, chew with your mouth open, sing off key, cry at the movies, or act like an insane person. This is the guy who will fall in love with you."

"If you think dwelling on the darkness of your past will teach you how to live a brighter future, try thinking of the best lights of your past and your future will be brighter still. Learning from your mistakes is all and well but there are more mistakes to come and only the light can help you understand."

If you don't get it, think of it this way: in order for a shadow to be in front of you, light has to be behind you.
"What are the two most wasted days in a week? Yesterday and Tomorrow. Yesterday is the past. You can't do anything about it; it happened. The sun will still rise tomorrow. Tomorrow is unborn; anything can happen. Have no regrets, live life to the fullest. You can't do anything about yesterday and you can't predict tomorrow. Live every day as if it is your last."

"In a mirror is where we find a reflection of our appearances, but in a heart is where we find a reflection of our soul."

I think that it is good for me and people my age to have all the inspiration that is possible, especially as a teen, because of all the peer pressure and stuff. I am very proud of myself that I have carved my own way all these years and never let others influence me to do what I do not want to do. I write things to motivate me so I am always ready to fight off negativity. I have written a couple of quotes to add to this site so to all my underdogs, I understand. Our situations are different, but you're not alone.
"Grant the wish... that everyone dreams. Give the love... that everyone needs. Say the truth... that no one will. Walk the path... that everyone wants to. Live the life... God made for you."
