"If you can't believe in yourself then don't believe in anything at all."

"You can shine on the outside; you can shine on the inside. But to shine from the inside out is the real way to show the world you shine, no matter what life throws at you to try and get you down."

"It is a recession for you when your neighbor loses his job, but it's a depression when you suffer."

We must help everyone. If we can't do good to others then we don't have any right to do bad to others.
"When life seems at its worse point, believe and know things will only get better. So at this point do not indulge, but contemplate and reflect on the good times, to be sure they come around again."

Found this website by chance and have been inspired by some people. I hope I can give the same hope to others.
"People will always throw stones in your path. Now it depends on you, what you want to make from it - wall or bridge. You are the real architect of your life."

"Life is like a pizza. You can go around in circles, and still smell sweet."

"The future is like a ball of clay; everything we do is another step to shaping it. It's up to you to shape it into a masterpiece."

When I get old I want to be able to look back on my clay and see a masterpiece, not a mess of useless material.
"If you don't challenge your challenges, your challenges will challenge you."

"There are two pains in life: The pain of determination and the pain of regret."

This quote helped me out during basketball season last year when I was thinking about quitting. My coach had it posted in the locker room and every time I saw it and read it, it reminded me that he needed me on the team as I was our only point guard.
"When you think of quitting, just think of why you started."

"Struggles in the past, make you stronger in the future."

I've been through a lot when I was little with my mother. So this is what I remind myself of when I feel like giving up.
"It seems like no matter what we do, we are always trying to be like everyone else. What we need to realize is that no one is like anyone else. We should be like ourselves."

"You are who you think you are. If you think you are nobody, that's it - you are nobody. But if you think you are someone special, that's who you are. Always have self-confidence in yourself and know that no one knows you more than you know yourself."

This has helped me a lot. When I was at high school I didn't have self-confidence in myself. I was always believing what people said about me - but when I got this quote, I took control of my life believing and knowing that what I think about myself matters a lot. The way I look at myself is the way others are going to see me. Also some people just want to put words in your head and make you believe that that's you. I learned to search myself and believe that no one knows me more than I know myself. Thank you!
To see the world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

This excerpt is from "Auguries of Innocence". I saw this part hanging up in my great grandparents house, and until now, I have never realized that there are so many more things bigger than us.
"A loss, I've gained; a win, you've lost. But if I didn't lose, how would I learn from my mistakes? And how would I get any better?"
Written in 2009 by Samantha G., Age 13
I was rejected from my softball express team this year and I was the best there. But sometimes losing is winning - and if you win all the time, are you winning or losing? Take a chance and play your best but play for the fun of it - a loss is a WIN!
"You can walk a thousand miles, but it doesn't matter if you were walking backwards."

It is a lesson to learn that doing something isn't enough, you have to do something right!

"Why waste away in the past when the future is waiting for you to write it?"
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Kenneth P., Age 16 --- Washington
It's a true fact of life and I think that there are too many that make the greatest mistake and dwell on the past for too long.
"The sun only shines, where there isn't a shadow, so don't let the rain put you down."
Written in 2009 by Charmayne C., Age 17 --- Alabama
I made this up because I'm trying to live my life right.

"You're only as beautiful as you allow yourself to be."
Written in 2008 by Madeline L., Age 15 --- Massachusetts
What I mean is that if you let self-doubt take over, you'll never see yourself as pretty. But if you are confident, you can be beautiful no matter what you look like.
"Cherish today what you didn't yesterday, because you might not be able to cherish it tomorrow."
Written in 2009 by Kenneth P., Age 16 --- Washington
I thought of this when I was at youth group and thought that it might help others to look to the future rather than the past.
"In order to learn, you must learn from your mistakes. The ones who don't are the ones who will regret the most and live the least."
Written in 2009 by A.D., Age 15 --- Connecticut
I thought of this because my friend was going through the same thing over and over again but wouldn't take anyone's advice, even from her family and friends. This is saying that the only way to move on with your life would be to learn from everything you do in order to live life to its fullest.
