Keep Going Strong This Year - Possibilities Are Everywhere
There are people who wish 2013 never had to end. There are others who couldn't wait to get the year over with. A few others really don't care. Where do you belong? If you think you didn't quite hit your targetslast year, then maybe Theodore Roosevelt's words are for you:
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena,whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive todo the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, atleast fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."
If you failed big time in 2013, it is because you dreamt big time. That is your glory.
If you had big disappointments, it is because you had big expectations. That is your glory.
If you lost all, it is because you gave all. And in the game of life, the worst loser is better than the best spectator.
You are the man/woman in the arena; you are the one who took the big risk for the sake of your family, your organization, your community, your country.
The glory, the credit belongs to you, not to the critic.Not because you are perfect, not because you didn't make mistakes, not because you have achieved but simply because you believed, and dared and risked your faith for a worthy cause.
One reason God created time is so that we can see where to bury our failures, disappointments and aborted hopes. So take a long look at last year and bury all the memories of your near misses. And start this year on a clean slate.
Time is also a good soil where we sow our efforts and dreams and look forward to the bountiful harvest of tomorrow. So if you have sowed in 2013 you have every right to look forward to the harvest of 2014.
