Growth In Change
Growth In Change
In remembrance & honor of my dear friend, Hajirah. Thank you for your light, which will always shine brightly within me and help me light the way for others. Thank you for always believing in me. You will be missed, yet I know in my soul you are never far away.
Blessed Be... / Rest in Peace.
As I woke up this morning to the crisp morning air I knew for sure, it's here! I know that any former school-aged person or beloved former school teacher would respond to me with, "... Really? Already?" (Giggle-giggle-giggle... )
As September rolls in we begin to see clues of autumn more clearly. Ah yes, school buses, football season, and the soon-to-come World Series (also known as the "Fall Classic").
And, alas, another clue --- we find ourselves bidding those long summer nights a bitter farewell!
It's Fall! (Yippee!! ... My favorite time of year!)
One can sense the crispness in the air that reminds us we are alive! We will soon notice the leaves on the trees decorated in an array of colors, greeted by early sunsets; nature's way of reminding us that things change.
It's the normal flow of life as nature tunes in and gracefully closes the door to summer, slowly opening the door to fall. The wheel of time is continually turning, reminding us all that abundance is never out of sight or reach.
We are here to see the beauty that surrounds us daily. Can you see it, not only in your surroundings, but in each other? Opportunities are forever presenting themselves, reaching out, waiting for us to grab hold of them. Opportunities to see kindness, beauty, gratitude in a person, place or thing we did not want to or could not recognize before this moment.
Things change.
We are so blessed that, "... once we know better, we can do better." No one has the power to take that away from us. Just as we are unable to stop summer drifting into fall, we get to learn and grow like the seasons, in gratitude and love.
Today I invite you to think about who, what or where you may have recently experienced a CHANGE. Perhaps it was something that saddened you, frustrated you, or illuminated you with joy!
Where is the growth in that change?
Can you see the blessings that were created in these moments, offering you the chance to go with the flow instead of against it? Dive into the emotion, embrace it, thank it and then let it go --- like the passing seasons. Allow change to teach you, and see the wonder in it. Let it bring you peace, as you are reminded of all the abundance that surrounds you; and will again!
We are beings of love, compassion and gratitude.
Happy Fall Everyone!
Remember there is power in beginnings and with each new beginning there is always change.
Until next time,
Peace & Blue Jeans,
